At the age of 35, Ben is now in his fourth year of headship at The Manor and was the youngest secondary school headteacher in the country when he became principal in 2007.Since joining, the school has been oversubscribed for the first time, results have doubled and Ofsted judged it "good with outstanding capacity for further improvement" last year.
Ben, who has previously written for a number of publications and is not afraid to speak out on a range of issues, will be blogging monthly on being a headteacher and the ups and downs of the education system.
