The "Personal, Social, Citizenship, Health and Education" of our students has an ever increasing role.
Students participate in a formal structure of 'Citizenship and Personal Education' lessons for one session
a week throughout all five years. In these lessons they explore personal and global issues which address
career, environment, family, finance, health, law, media and other areas which help them understand and
prepare for adult life.
External speakers and agencies are invited to bring variety and greater depth of knowledge and
understanding of various subjects to our students.
The college recognises that the parent/guardian role is a significant one in the personal development
of a child or young adult and the structure of the Citizenship and Personal Development programme is to
lend positive support to this relationship.
