PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Physical Education has a unique role to play in the physical, social and mental development of the child. By giving every child access to a broad and balanced physical education, the department aims to encourage active participation of all pupils in an enjoyable learning environment.

Students at Manor Community College are fortunate to have access to excellent facilities. There are extensive playing fields, five outdoor tennis courts which are used for netball in the winter, an astro-turf area, two outdoor basketball courts, a sports hall, a gym and a dance studio.

KS3: Pupils in Years 7 to 9 receive three 50 minute lessons per week.
KS4: Pupils in Years 10 and 11 receive two 50 minute lessons of PE a week. Pupils can also follow the BTEC in Sport course and the Junior Sports Leadership Award (JSLA).
