Rewarding Good Attitudes to Learning

Tariffs: no more than 10 points to be awarded at any one time. Staff must sign and date each point box so that no cheating/forgeries can occur!

Homework Points
  • Completion of an excellent homework (not just for completing the set work) - 5 or 10 points at a teacher's discretion

Behaviour Points
  • Particularly good behaviour, good citizenship around college
  • Greatly improved behaviour - at a teacher's discretion

Independence Points
  • Independent research/ work, over and above homework
  • Being well organised, bringing correct equipment always, having planner signed every week - 5 points

Effort Points
  • Catch - all points, effort to improve, etc Reacting to comments in marking

Performance Points
  • For any performance including within a subject/lesson
  • College ambassadors, turning up at college events to help

End of Term Celebration Event
At the end of each term form tutors should enable students to add up the points they have collected for each attitude to learning. These awards will be presented in extended assemblies at designated times in the year.
